What to expect when you work with me

 

Initial consultation

We’ll start with a discussion about your project’s goals, what you want to achieve, and who you’re target audience is. Whether you need a new brand identity, social media graphics, flyers, a brochure design for an event or even a website design, I’ll take the time to understand your requirements. 

If we’re creating artwork for marketing materials then we’ll also discuss your print requirements, including quantities and budget. This allows me to recommend the most effective mediums and finishing options that not only fit within your budget but also add those extra special touches to the designs. 

Whether you’re looking for a premium finish or a cost-effective solution, my role as a graphic designer is to ensure the end result aligns with both your goals and your brand’s image.

 

Concept development

Once we’ve defined the direction, I’ll set to work on concept development, drawing on 17 years of experience as a graphic designer.  This process may involve researching your product or service to ensure the designs align with your brand and resonate with your target audience. 

Along the way, I’ll also advise on key elements such as headings, structure, page layout, and calls to action, ensuring that every part of your marketing materials is working to its full potential. 

Unlike most graphic designers, I’ll often help craft or adjust your text content so it not only enhances the design but also improves the effectiveness of your messaging. Part of this process often involves addressing common customer concerns, such as easing any anxieties around commitment and reinforcing your trust and credibility. 

Throughout the process, I’ll provide drafts for your review, and together, we’ll refine the work until you're fully satisfied with the final result.

 

Design execution & finalisation

After finalising the design and artwork, I can supply press-ready PDFs or finalised digital files for you to use as needed. 

Additionally, if you prefer a hands-off approach, I can assist with sourcing print quotes and managing the entire production process for your business cards, brochures, or other printed materials.  This allows you to focus on running your business, while I ensure your marketing materials are produced to a high standard and delivered on time.
